Keep those fingers crossed

Our MOWA letter is ready!!!!  That means the orphanage and the Ministry of Women's Affairs has given their 'ok' for us to become baby T's parents.  This also means we have officially been submitted to the courts and they are now in the process of assigning us a court date.  Want a little more good news?  Usually the courts close on during the first week of August...we have heard that this year's court closure will be August 22nd!!!  If this is correct, it gives us an additional 2 weeks to possibly get assigned a court date before the closure and not have to wait until October.  Tor and I think the delayed rainy season is because of global warming, not good for the many farmers and Ethiopians that need the rain and for them my heart is sad.  Intense droughts have led to famine and starvation for many people in the country in the past, and of course we would never wish for that no matter how much it sped up this process.

"So you're saying I have a chance?"  Yes - a chance.  We are sitting by the phone to hear of an assigned court date, which could be emailed to us Any.  Day.  Now.  I am having a hard time thinking of anything else :)

Hold on baby girl!
